This is made from the colourful cat blanket pattern that is free and is available on this blog as an older post. It works up really fast as is very cool for using up wool that I would probably otherwise have put in a box, stored and not used.
It's been ages since I have posted here. So I have quite a lot to post :P

My new website is http://catsknits.webs.com/index.htm please take a look.

I have recently purchased a 15 inch knitting board and a adjustable sock loom, so expect to see lots of patterns posted from them.

I am finding the sock loom a little difficult at the moment. But I'm sure with patience, I will master it and get a little quicker.CatrinaLawrencehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16133263470445367779noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2817548607800431.post-53105403661766660072010-11-06T08:13:00.000-07:002017-01-02T05:33:47.365-08:00My Colourfull Cat Blanket

Took a few evening to crochet as I did the large one. I wanted a large one because I'm going to be using this one as a project bag as I am not too keen on the colour of this bag. So, as soon as I get some more wool of the colour I really like, I will be making one for using when going out.
This pattern is found here - http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/starling-handbag
I do highly recommend doing this pattern.

You can find the pattern here - http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/josephine-gauntlets
I had to downsize these a lot as I don't have very long hands or arms.
I worked -
Rows 1 - 10.
Rows 2 - 10 twice.
Then rows 44, 45, 46, 47, 48 and 49.
Then worked row 50.CatrinaLawrencehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16133263470445367779noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2817548607800431.post-88201778137455232112010-10-08T04:58:00.000-07:002010-10-08T04:58:45.044-07:00Second Rag RugHere is the second rag rug that I have made. This one is used using the underlay from the curtains of Rag Rug 1.
It is smaller than the first one, measuring approximately 34 x 34 inches.
I did this one by casting on 60 stitches instead of 35 and worked 71 rows in stockinette stitch.

I'm thinking of doing one larger for each bedroom I have, for the end of each bed. So I'm going to have to buy some brown and blue sheets.CatrinaLawrencehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16133263470445367779noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2817548607800431.post-60651537116201862602010-10-08T04:54:00.000-07:002010-10-08T04:54:18.320-07:00Skull Corset TopI've been wanting to do this pattern for a long time now and I've finally got around to doing it. I'm really, really pleased with the end result. And, I've finished it just in time for Halloween.

Here is the front view. I placed white paper underneath so that you can see the skulls better.
It didn't take me long to make this. I changed the lace fastening to an I-Cord which makes it stronger and made it a little bit bigger than the pattern asked for. I cast on enough to make 11 skulls across the bottom.CatrinaLawrencehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16133263470445367779noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2817548607800431.post-57089359179483403792010-09-30T14:11:00.000-07:002010-10-02T03:44:20.753-07:00Curtain Yarn made into Rug Number 1This is what I made from the curtain fabric that I made into yarn. You will find the instructions and more details about this yarn on my older post.

I used Number 20 12mm straight needles and cast on 35 stitches.
I then worked 106 rows of stockinette stitch starting with a knit row.
I wet the fabric with a spray bottle and pinned it out and left to dry.
This one that is in the picture needs more streching.
My rug measures approximately 60 inches by 29 inches.
